Trim Levels
The 2023 MX-5 Miata RF is available in two trims: Club and Grand Touring. Unlike the regular MX-5 Miata with its traditional soft top, the MX-5 Miata RF has a power-folding hardtop you can retract in just 13 seconds to enjoy the sun. The vehicle comes standard with LED headlights and taillights as well as a rear spoiler, while the Grand Touring has 17-inch dark silver wheels with high-performance tires. With the Club, adding the Brembo package gives you 17-inch gray wheels with high-performance tires and an aerodynamic body kit.
Engine
Even though the 2023 MX-5 Miata RF only has one available engine, it packs plenty of power. This engine cranks out 181 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque and comes standard with an easy-to-shift six-speed manual transmission. The Grand Touring trim has an available six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The car also comes standard with rear-wheel drive.
Performance
The 2023 MX-5 Miata RF's fuel economy is excellent, partly due to the engine's small size and its placement to distribute weight evenly. The Miata RF with manual transmission has a limited-slip differential and sport-tuned suspension with shock absorbers. It also has superb cornering capabilities, in part due to the Kinematic Posture Control (KPC). This feature applies subtle braking to the rear inside wheel when you encounter fast turns. KPC reduces any body roll and stabilizes the car.
Interior
Despite its small size, the two-seat 2023 MX-5 Miata RF offers plenty of space for the driver and passenger to stretch their legs as well as premium amenities even on the base trim. It has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake. Enjoy heated cloth seats, while the Grand Touring has leather upholstery.
The premium technology features enhance your driving experience. The vehicle comes standard with a 7-inch touch-screen display, two USB ports, satellite and HD radio, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The Grand Touring adds navigation.
Safety Features
Mazda implemented its i-Activsense safety features, which use sophisticated technology to keep the vehicle in tune with its surroundings. Standard driver-assistance features on the base trim include a blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, lane-departure warning, and forward collision mitigation. The upper trim offers road sign assist, which recognizes certain road signs and displays them on your instrument panel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive headlights that swivel to illuminate the roadway.
