The 2.5 S Select establishes the foundation with standard i-Activ AWD®, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and a balanced set of driver-assistance features. Preferred builds on this with a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear power liftgate, and added convenience that becomes noticeable over time. The 2.5 S Meridian Edition introduces a more rugged visual direction. The standard SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L engine produces 187 hp and 186 lbs. ft. of torque, delivering smooth, consistent performance for daily driving. The available 2.5 Turbo engine increases output to up to 256 hp and 320 lbs. ft. of torque with premium fuel, providing stronger acceleration and more immediate response. All trims include standard i-Activ AWD®, which continuously monitors road conditions and adjusts torque distribution for stability. Properly equipped turbo models can tow up to 3,500 lbs., while naturally aspirated versions support up to 2,000 lbs.

The CX-50 is tuned to feel balanced and controlled. Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) allows adjustments between Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and available Towing modes.
