There are some exciting new innovations included with the newest version of the 2022 Mazda CX-9. That includes:

AWD is now standard across the Mazda CX-9's trim levels.

There is a new Touring Plus trim level

Additionally, the 2022 Mazda CX-9 offers a 2.5L four-cylinder engine. This engine can deliver up to 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, or up to 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque when you use 93 octane gas.

Six Trim Levels To Consider

The 2022 Mazda CX-9 has six different trim levels available for you to consider investing in. Depending on your personal preferences, any of these trim levels could be a good option for you.

Sport: This base trim level has a six-speed automatic transmission, standard all-wheel drive, LED headlights, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
Touring: If you want a trim level that builds on the Sport trim's equipment, then this option is for you. It includes keyless ignition and entry, a power liftgate, leather seats, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and rear USB ports. The Touring Premium Package is also available.

Touring Plus: This trim level includes everything from the Touring Premium package. It also adds third-row USB ports, ventilated front seats, driver's seat memory settings, and more.

Carbon Edition: This trim level includes key features from the Touring Plus trim level. It also adds adaptive headlights, a windshield wiper de-icer system, power-folding side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, wireless charging, and more. It also includes safety features like Driver Attention Warning and Rear Automatic Braking.

Grand Touring: While it doesn't include some of the cosmetic elements of the Carbon Edition, it does add an integrated navigation system, a surround-view camera system, traffic sign recognition, and a Head-up display.
