1. Birding at Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area

2. Playing Tennis at Christmas Run Park

For instance, you can hike through the woods or push your child’s stroller down the ADA-compliant walking path.

3. Strolling Through the Secrest Arboretum

We also recommend strolling through the Secrest Arboretum at 1680 Madison Ave. Managed by The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, this tranquil 110-acre botanical garden features over 3,500 types of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, and trees. You can get a clear picture of many of the area’s most beautiful plants in one convenient place.

You can visit this garden from dawn to dusk daily, and you do not need to pay for parking or admission. Every part of this arboretum is worth exploring, but we love the kaleidoscope of colors on display in the coneflower garden. In this garden, there are over 100 varieties of this summer-flowering plant. The Adventure Garden is very popular among children, featuring a hillside slide and play area.
