When some parents shop for new SUVs, cargo space is a primary concern. However, others realize that their passengers are their most precious cargo, so safety features are a top-of-mind concern. See our new Mazda inventory and find out why the latest models are terrific options for parents.

Parents Express Road Safety Concerns

According to a Mazda-sponsored survey comprising 1,776 parent surveyors, 77% expressed heightened concerns when driving with kids in tow. Six in 10 respondents also reported increased anxiety. Furthermore, 47% indicated that models with high safety ratings played a major role in their vehicle purchase considerations after becoming parents.

Why MAZDA Models Are Great for Parents

The Mazda brand has a history of achieving high marks in the safety department. This is especially true of the current vehicle lineup. For instance, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 and its plug-in hybrid counterpart both received the coveted 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+, the highest safety award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2025 Mazda CX-50 and its hybrid cousin received this same prestigious accolade as well.

Latest Safety Technology

The brand’s reputation for dedication to safety is thanks in part to its suite of safety features. The Mazda i-Activsense® safety sense comes with a collection of safety and driver assistance technology, both standard and available. Examples include the Lane Keep Assist System and Mazda Radar Cruise Control™, to name a few.
